Terms of use

What the audit promises, what it does not, and the few rules that come with running it for nothing.

Last updated 10 September 2026.

who you are agreeing with

geo.new is operated by Next Marketing Technology Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 14384054, at Flat 1, 25 Daleham Gardens, London, England, NW3 5BY. Below, “we” is that company and “you” is whoever runs an audit.

Using the site accepts what follows. If a clause does not work for you, write to [email protected] before you run an audit rather than after.

what the service is

One public page, read once, graded against a catalog of checks that is published in full. The report is the whole product: no account to create, no credit to buy, no section held back behind an email address.

It is free, and it is offered as a free service rather than under a contract you have paid for. That cuts both ways. Nothing here is an uptime commitment, a support commitment or a queue you hold a place in.

Free is the price today, not a promise about tomorrow. A run costs us real money — a model call, a rendered browser page, bandwidth, storage — and we carry it for an open period rather than in perpetuity. Crawling a whole site is intended to be a paid plan and does not exist yet. Nothing on this site is for sale at the moment, and if that changes, this page and the pricing page change with it.

what you may audit

Submit a URL you own, or one you are otherwise entitled to have fetched. The audit requests the page from our infrastructure the way a search crawler would, identifying itself as GeoNewBot, and it reads the origin’s robots.txt before it reads anything else.

Do not point it at pages behind a login, a paywall or an authorization header; at anything unlawful; or at a site whose operator has asked you or us to stop. If we are asked to stop, we stop.

One page per run. The audit does not crawl a site, follow its internal links, or come back on its own later.

fair use of a free tool

Runs are capped per request, per session, per address and per target, and the site as a whole has a ceiling. The caps exist so that one caller cannot spend the budget the next hundred need.

Do not work around them: no rotating sessions or addresses to lift a limit, no reselling access to the API as though it were your own service, no automated volume beyond the published allowances. An API key exists to make legitimate volume visible, not to hide it.

We may rate-limit, refuse or withdraw access when a caller does this, with or without notice. On a free tool, the cost of abuse is paid by everyone else.

your report, and who can read it

A report belongs to the browser session that started it and stays private to it. Nobody reaches it by guessing its address.

Sharing is explicit. You create a share link, and only then can somebody else read a copy of that snapshot. You can revoke it, and a shared copy never carries the comparison baseline an owner sees.

Every report, its evidence, its screenshot and any share made from it is deleted seven days after the run. That is an expiry the database enforces, not a housekeeping intention. Export what you want to keep — Markdown and JSON are each one request away — before then.

what you can do with the output

The report is yours. Paste it into a ticket, hand it to a client, feed it to an agent, publish it. Commercial use included, no attribution asked for.

The site itself is not: the check catalog, the rule set, the wording of both and the code behind them stay ours.

Our name is not part of that permission either. A report does not make a page “GEO.new certified”, because no such thing is issued.

what a score is, and what it is not

The audit reads one page, once, and reports what that page returned at that moment. It says nothing about the rest of the site, and nothing about what any assistant will do next.

A pass means a signal was present. It is not a ranking, a citation, a placement or a forecast of traffic. Thresholds are our product behaviour, written down in the catalog, and not requirements published by any search or AI vendor.

The AI section is labelled interpretation for a reason. It may cite only rows the engine measured and it cannot move a score or add a finding, but it is a model reading evidence, and a model can be wrong.

Unknown means unmeasured. It is never counted as a pass and never as a warning.

Read the evidence under a row before acting on the number above it. What you decide on the strength of a report is your decision.

availability and changes

Checks, thresholds and wording change. That is what the rules version stamped on every report is for: a report read months later still says which rule set produced it.

We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the service, and these terms, at any time. The date at the top of this page is the date of the current version.

no warranty

The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the audit will be uninterrupted, that a report will be complete, or that every finding in one is correct.

liability

So far as the law allows, we are not liable for lost profit, lost revenue, lost data, lost rankings or any indirect or consequential loss arising from the site or from a report.

Where liability cannot be excluded it is capped at £100, or at what you have paid us, whichever is greater. The service is free, so the second figure is nil.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you use the site as a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

law and disputes

These terms, and any dispute arising out of them, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. A consumer resident elsewhere keeps the protection of the mandatory law of their own country.

Before any of that: write to [email protected]. Most disagreements about an audit are disagreements about a check, and a check that is wrong gets fixed.

Anything unclear on this page is a defect in it. Write to [email protected] and it gets rewritten.
